No comments? A travesty! This is a beautiful picture, the colors really pop. The form is also very well-done.

Wonderful concept....how did you come up with it?

bare nyfiken!!!!

:-) Johan Aronson replies: "Where I live there's an old tradition of making wooden horses painted in this kind of flower-pattern. Called a "dalahäst".
Then it was a friend of mine who asked me to do one looking like a real horse."

as i'm looking through your gallery, i'm starting to notice that you seem to like Sweden alot ^_^ or well atleast all your drawings reminds me of something Swedish 12 am i right?

Anyway your art is great! Has such a nice and cousy feeling to em *thumbs up again*

2 Johan Aronson replies: "  Thanks, and you are right. I do live in that country after all, and I kind of like her too. 2"

Oh, I love the idea of this picture. And I am hereby officially scared of Dalahästar. 2 Because it does look a bit evil to me.

I have had great fun looking at your pictures. I would love to see your take on Näcken/bäckahästen and a Skogsfru (I am a bit uncertain on what she is called. I mean the beautify woman who will lure men out into the deepest wild woods with her.. but when she turns she has a hollow (rotten?) back and I think a foxtail to.)

2 Johan Aronson replies: "Thankyou, I'm happy you liked my gallery! I actually have two pictures of skogsrår (the pictures are named "skogsrå" and "another skogsrå"), though mine don't have tails, and one featuring Näcken (picture called "A wet arm around a tiny neck"), or his arm at least. But I will surely do more pictures of those creatures in the future."

Hails from Danmark

Awwww! Love the pose!

17 Johan Aronson replies: "Thankyou! I recall using various references for it, but looking back on it now it does seem horribly distorted to me, haha. 2"

Beautiful take on the traditional dala horse. Maybe you should do a living straw goat next!

3 Johan Aronson replies: "Thanks! I actually did draw a living yule straw goat once, with burning horns and a sword, riding on a dala horse , haha."
