| 1 Jan 2006 | Kim | Loading...It depends on which runic alphabet you use my dear; mine are not wrong. Johan Aronson replies: "Of course. But I can tell for sure that you've got A and N mixed up.That, or your futhark is neither the ancient germanic 24-type futhark, the younger scandinavian 16-type one (or the slightly more recent "stung" version of the same) nor the anglosaxon variant. | 30 Oct 2006 | . . . | Loading...I really do like this, especially the use of runes. I love runes, and thats why i learn them. The runes in question here are Anglo-Saxon, right? Um, the only thing is, they say; infnrnnnxznb . . . or is that the name of the staff? Just wondering. Johan Aronson replies: "the runes are from the scandinavian 16-type futhark, which might be why you've gotten the A and the N runes mixed up. The "twig" of the A rune leans to the left (/) and on the N rune it leans to the right (\). So the text on the staff says "IAFLARANAMMA", or "JÄVLARANAMMA" (remember each rune can often mean several different latin letters), which is simply a Swedish phrase that is something like a encouraging or urging curse (?)..." | |
| 21 Feb 2007 | Marie Aggerbeck | Loading...nice work, although I find the shading on his left hand to be a liiittle strong. Those birds on his chest, I think I've seen them before (or some similar ones), or am I imagining things? | |

Anyway, this is a fantastic picture! I love all the fine details and the runes on the magical circlet ... Thing. I also like his face, it's weathered and aged, but it still retains so much strength.
Congrats on the Mod's. | |
