| 19 Sep 2005 | Jennifer Russo | You're very talented with color and you've got a lot of great ideas and an understanding of equine anatomy, but one word of caution: be VERY careful of cliches. To stand out as an artist, it's very important to have your own distinct style or content. Try branching out and thinking outside the box. (= Amy E. Perkins replies: "Thanks for the word of advice. I'll be sure to keep that in mind for the future. Thank you for visiting!" | |

| 8 Jun 2006 | Isaac A. Gallegos | Your artwork is prty cool. I'd leave individual comments but you didn't want to leave any in mine!!! Except as I recall, I did specifically mention one individual piece, so....hah. Meh, but I know how frustrating that is... | |
| 9 Jun 2006 | Isaac A. Gallegos | Ok you're right, i owe you. I love your personal photo. Or is that just the letter "i"...? jk.. i'll comment on something later when i have time. And you're right about comments... people do normally say the same crap at me over and over again. Well one guy called me a fag, but he never came back. Maybe you could come to my gallery and call everything crap! Amy E. Perkins replies: "Hah!! I'll come back when my boss isn't breathing down my neck and I can properly stay and absorb what I'm seeing." | |
| 12 Jul 2006 | Joana Andreia Figueiredo | I like your equines. Even thought you use references for some pics it's okay, as long as you don't copy... you know that copy thingie that everyone that draws hates but people still do it? lol. Ok enough of this. Your equines show much strength and power, I love that. My sugestion is that you might want to work a bit on their muscles and shading. I don't know if you still use references at this point, but if you do, then I'm sure it long be long until you don't need them anymore. Keep up this great work! Amy E. Perkins replies: " Why thank you! No, I don´t copy things, when I say I use reference it´s solely for reference, as in, how does the anatomy change when a leg (for example) is in a certain position.
Thanks for the suggestion on shading, that is the direction I´m trying to take my artwork in now (asides from digital). I would love to be able to complete a picture to really show the shading and give the idea of ´body´ " | |
| 20 Aug 2006 | Barbara J. Wickham | I had alot of fun going thru your gallery. I love horses but you also have some great drawings of people too. You have a good grasp on anatomy and it's great that you are using more color. I hope you keep at it! Thank you very much for commenting at my gallery. A fellow horse freaks opinion is always welcome! Amy E. Perkins replies: "Thanks for coming to visit! As you can tell I *love* horses. I enjoyed your gallery as well *grins*" | |
