This strange being just leapt into my head one night. It is a faerie, running along at dawn with a cloak that reflects the sky streaming out behind it. It runs swifter than any mortal, and holds a single jewel-bright droplet of dew in its fist. With this watercolour painting I wanted the effect that I was painting a landscape and this fae just happened to run across it. I think the background would stand up on its own, but for sure it would not have the same effect. I love this one. It is just so strange and mysterious you cannot be sure if it means to help or harm.

COngrats on the ModChoice! I'm always thrilled to see a piece that WASN'T computer colored. Your watercoloring is very beautiful, and the little creature is so strange and funny. I love it! I'm almost sure it's up to some kind of mischief, but it's expression is so serious.... This is a great pic to just think about. Great work!

:-) Amy Rebecca Letts replies: "There ARE lots of non-comp coloured pieces out there.Oh, you are sooo nice *beams* Yep. Mischief must always be suspected when there are fae about."

:-) Amy Rebecca Letts replies: "Sorry Fred."

Sweet! I love the colors. At first glance I thought "alien!" because of the eyes. Cute little alien fairy. ^_^

And you know what they say about self-proclaimed Critics who leave no name or number... At least, I know what *I* say about them.... *coughjealouscough*

:-) Amy Rebecca Letts replies: "Thanks for the defense! They do say that aliens and their U.F.O's are actually faeries joyriding! The eyes are like that so you cannot read them. Ooh, what thoughts are going on inside that little head?"

er, she DID say it's a faerie, y'know? bananabrain, lol....
Anywho, this is so cool! highly original

:-) Amy Rebecca Letts replies: "*giggles* I love it when people say I'm original. Thankyou."

HOLY.... what a creepy looking orc. The cold blue with light green radial color of the orc just totally evoke a strong contrast on your background. I felt like that orc just pierce through my most vulnerable passage to my deep mind like a sharp stalagmite.

:-) Amy Rebecca Letts replies: "Oh, dear. In that case it may have just burrowed into your brain."

*holds flashlight up to your ear to see what else is in that head of yours* I like it. So simple, yet full of expression. congrats on mod's choice Amy.

:-) Amy Rebecca Letts replies: "*A voice squeaks "Keep standing there our bulb just broke."* Ta!"

Hey that's my UFO theory! I guess that makes me 'they', then. Cooooool....the POWER! Mwah hahahahaha!

:-) Amy Rebecca Letts replies: "Yes, you are the wisdom. I hope you feel flattered at being quoted, I just thought it was such a good theory it deserved spreading around."

HEY! If this fae is related to the one that stole my pencil..it looks like I am going to have some serious difficulty catching them! gah! I like this concept, it's really fun. Plus it is obvious that you are quite skilled with watercolor. The funny thing about them is, it's really hard to paint detail without making it all blocky. *gets out her bow, shoots critic quickly and quietly* He/She had to be silenced. They didn't say anything anyway. Really sweet job!

Looks like one of the "grey Alien"--types that's been coloured green, with big, Manga-style breasts.

It looks like it's on an important mission and will not stop at all costs until the mission is complete. The colors look great together.
