"3D beaded Phoenix" by Amy Antika Naylor

Here is a 3D phoenix that I partially designed.  I found some bird patterns by an awesome designer, Dragonfay, on her website: http://www.uniquebeadedjewelry.com/patterns/.  After making a hummingbird I really wanted to make a phoenix, but she didn't have any long-necked designs.  So I modified the parrot design and created a new head, neck, and tail to make this phoenix.  (It took eight tries and was very time-consuming!)  They're a little too much work to make selling them worthwhile, but I did sell the first one to a ren-faire aquaintance who was considering naming his newborn son Phoenix.  (He gave it as a gift to his wife, and they went with the name.  I like to think I helped. *lol*)
