| 24 Feb 2003 | Shift | Loading...I love the overall color/stain of this piece. It works very well for the barn-owlish creature. You have managed to blend both halves of the animal so well. They appear so natural, the flow and movement captures both a felines grace and an owls proud wisdom. I'm sorry but I HAVE to try this version of a gryphon myself! Its too good to pass up! I must dabble in it too!
Your art is excellent. Keep up the practice! | |
| 21 Jul 2003 | Madeleine Rose 'Lucy' Ebacher | Loading...YOu executed the horned owl part beautifully, but I seem to have trouble with it - my eye can't decide to JUST see it as a gryphon crouching, it wants to see an owl standing with some legs behind her right wing. *sighs* I think it's her left wing that does it. It's a beautiful picture, but visually it really confuses me. I love that staining to, though. How do you manage it? | |

| 14 Feb 2004 | Carol A. Kichinko | Loading...She's cute! You're right, she's not the average griffin. Most of them look more rough. She's all curves. Nice job. | |

| 13 Sep 2004 | Ann | Loading...What a lovely pose! She's very beautiful. I saw the thumbnail and couldn't figure out what it was! But the full sized image is very impressive. I'm a huge sucker for unique takes on old mythological creatures. Lovely. I applaud you. | |
| 28 Oct 2007 | Jessica R. Horst | Loading...It's great to see someone that thinks a lot like me (if only I had the talents). I had in a book I was writing some odd years ago about a gryphon who had a barn owl front rather than the typical eagle. I gave up drawing her cause I couldn't capture the image in my head of her. Beautiful job, I must say. Can't wait to see more from you. | |
