This is the climactic poem/prophecy in my book that tells pretty much how my bad guy is going to die. I won't say who the Red Phoenix is for those who are actually reading my book, because it is a sort of huge spoiler, but if people remember the tablet found toward the beginning, these are the words that were on the back that Athelas mentioned.

Imminent Destruction

Darkness and terror stretch across the land,

the cause of such darkness resembling the stain of blood.

Ebony black are the beast’s minions, and long

does that terrible monster’s arm reach.

It however, cannot touch one shadowed figure,

the bringer of the monster’s demise.

A loud explosion will sound in the beast’s ears,

and it will fall at the hand of one once close.

When this happens, this writer will know peace.

Through Ai’gwaith your journey begins;

Medira the Wise will point the way.

Beware, however, the Terrible Four,

only metal drives them far.

On the way of Medira’s finger,

Find the mist over the teeth.

Ancient losses rediscovered,

thought lost by the crimson beast.

Labyrinths; tangled webs await you, traveler,

but I beg thee, make this writer find his peace,

and find the single way, to destroy darkness and terror.

                                                                             ___The Red Phoenix

Nice! I like this poem/riddle. It’s very powerful.

:-) Jess L Rhapsodos replies: "Oh, good. I was hoping someone would comment on that one. Thank you.

That is actually a really good thing that it is so powerful because it is a major part in my book. *Sighs in relief and mops forehead*

Thanks for reading!"

Oh wow, I love this! Love the kind of folky feel, this idea of a journey and terrible danger and the like. Awesome, well done! Why has like nobody commented on this?!

Lotsaluv, Em

:-) Jess L Rhapsodos replies: "Thanks! This is one of my favorite poems that I’ve written. Glad you enjoyed it."
