I love the way you use colors, but your second painting of Luthien facinates me, because of the dress she's wearing, and I can't quite figure out the sleeves and neckline would work. I love making dresses, and dancing, and it looks like the kind of dress an elf would wear when dancing.
Also, it's strange how most artists are troubled in one way or another. Maybe only troubled minds turn to art, although anyone can learn the techniques.
