I've finally managed to upload photos of my hand-works... I had a lot of fun doing these three tinfoil figures, even though hard to get at first, so I hope you enjoy them as well. Each one of them has been photographed by me from different angles.

The figurine. This one is also basically from tinfoil and it is an idea harder to explain. Yes, what you see is an impaled creature... perhaps it is a weird idea to materialize but it simply came to me. Let's say in the beginning that it is a creature with flowing shapes, capable to stay in that position. I had a stick thick enough, yet not too think, sufficient to hold on it some tinfoil. I build the creature, then "impaled" it through holes specially made and then added its tail and some glittering glue, both white (for her body) and red (for "blood"). Her hair is made from brown tinfoil strings, however - even though she is fully a white creature, she's also covered in blood... and in great pain.

This is the basic image, you can see much of the model in this picture. I hope it can transmit not only the suffering, but also the sad looks on her as well - because they mean something in the story you might want to read below to get things clear in case you wonder why the cruelty.

I have digitally added a red line for the eyes. I have digitally polished the whole picture to get rid of some loose ends. But no changes have been made to the model itself.

The imaginary creature. Let's say it is an ancient creature of the Earth Fabulous Elemental (you can read more about my imaginary Fabulous Areas in the Guardian series pictures). It is a she - and she is in contact with Earth. Her body can take various shapes and her preferred one is that of a white gown; upwards, her body is very slim and she has hands and likes to grow aesthetic wings. The females of this nation usually take the form of a gown/dress for the lower body, while the male have distinct legs/pant-like forms. I'll not waste more words, for if you look at the associated pictures ("Forgotten one" series) you'll get the whole idea of this ancient earth race and their male/female physical distinctions.

This particular character lived through a whole sad series of events that culminated tragically. In a time when mere imaginary creatures feared the fantastical ones because of their uncanny and sometimes power, they started a war. Many fabulous creatures died horribly at the cruelty of misguided others. This ancient earth race, gentle and meek, met its end too, despite their great power, for they didn't want to destroy and become prosecutors in turn. This young woman remained the last of her kind, and has seen all her fellows impaled, for this seemed to be the best way to kill this earth creatures. When her boyfriend finally died exhausted from the terrible, terrible wounds, she decided to speak to the prosecutors and show their cruelty and evilness. She was the last of her kind and did not care that she might end up tortured as well. She knew, in fact, she'd be slaughtered too, but still went to do her last duty and denounce the corruption so the other nations in peril are warned.

After an unfair trial and other hardships endured, she was finally impaled to join the ranks of her deceased fellows. She was in pain, but she was mostly sad because of her failure and that the cruelty will continue.

But... something amazing happened while she was giving her last breath: beautiful and powerful forces of imagination gave her strength and even though she was forgotten in the dungeon where she was tortured when the oppressors were squashed, she survived... and those mysterious forces took care of her in a very, very special way, left for the future epochs and times to uncover... :)

Please also visit the pictures in the “Forgotten One” series to see more of how this creature looks.

 Enjoy.

Nice! It’s a very dramatic pose.
I like the idea of tinfoil sculptures (:

:-) Anca Raluca Sandu replies: "Thank you... I discovered recently that I really like to manufacture stuff as well, not only to do computer drawing. Tinfoil was an easy material to obtain and manipulate... this pose and image/ moment in my stories still remains a most painful and interesting one. I like such moments... for some reason. I guess I feel imagination as tragic as well."
