Lost might be another's beauty of the body, but never should another stop taking care of the inner one...

I received rather good feedback for this one and I'm glad because it's a very old painting done from scratch on the computer when I only knew to use basic Paint. I used the spray a lot and I believe I did rather few to change it later with better programs. Back then I had the idea of an extinct race that resembled large snake-like skeletons but were very much alive and normal (have no idea how they survived, don't ask). The last specimen was a bit crazy female that found home in the blood-red realm, with other beings that were amongst the last of their kind. Returning to this bony species, it also had hands and some possible wing-like formations that also worked as hands, in need. And their spiked back offered some protection and perhaps more that a cary aspect. The jaw's missing is probably due to the fact that I wanted some teeth to freely hang down. Not yet decided upon the eyes' color.

*Note on 30 december, 2008: this is already a very VERY old picture, but I have received quite a lot of good feedback, it seems. I'm happy that such pictures still atrract attention. Shortly said, I decided to keep this one in the gallery still.

They're never anathomical correct, but who cares... though very old, this picture is unsually cool. Done in Paint, amazingly, and then edited a bit (I think)."

It’s really beautiful

:-) Anca Raluca Sandu replies: "Hard to believe it’s done only in simple Paint! Back then, I didn’t have any other program and I had just discovered that with a little patience and the Spray tool you can do something nice. It’s still one of the best from that period and a very nice character."

I like how simple this is, to be a skeleton. It almost looks like a traditional drawing, and I really like that effect. For Paint work, this is very well done!

:-) Anca Raluca Sandu replies: "This is also, perhaps, the only drawing I left in the original form (without another computer program to add blur). I drew it pretty long ago, when I first got the tablet and I only had Paint, so I made full use of Paint’s spray tool (mostly, for shading... but I didn’t mind it passed over the bone outline). You could say this is one of the "old classics" of mine 2 that I like and I wouldn’t change."

Oh My! I really like this painting! I t is powerful!18

:-) Anca Raluca Sandu replies: "This is one of the pictures that received an incredible amount of good feedback. Wow, incredible, and thank you as well! As I think as I said somewhere before, this creature is one of the first I have ever imagined and drawn. Perhaps that’s why is so strong. It’s done in simple Paint program around the time I merely got my graphic tablet so I guess it has some vibration in it, being both old and rather original. Also, I haven’t modified it later on when I got a better program (the blur is because of the effect you get when saving a "jpg" from "bitmap" in Paint). Though the eyes could have used some shine."

I think this is definitely one of my favorite pieces in your gallery. I love the concept behind it as well!

:-) Anca Raluca Sandu replies: "My ideas changed in time very much but every now and then I come upon some pictures or other types of ideas that are very old and remained very much the same. It’s kind of a weird feeling to remember such things, but it’s sort of thrilling too! This is one of the few left. At first I wondered how come people like it so much (since it’s rather badly shown and naive, even though it has some cool touches), but then, I don’t complain about it neither 1. Thank you."
