I noticed that you have ot use "Full size" to make it work (it may have a problem with shrinking if it doesn't move in the standard version Elfwood gives).

Or, since this new form of Elfwood, click on it to view the entire, original image, and it will move.

Merely a sketch and a shot at a poor animation, but I really enjoy watching it from time to time. Made from only 3 pictures merged together. The other animation shows the creature's movement alone and offers more insight.

About the chariot: part of my SF-related ideas for a story. It's an alien fabulous race wich used some very wierd reptiles either to fight alone, as cavalry or like this chariot of 10 reptiles. The original model had 20, aligned in two rows of 10, but it was to complicated for an animation. The gif has only 10 running reptiles. I have made two more variants wich run at various speeds, but this one is the basic. This complex chariot (with a series of schemes and tactics predefined and long training) is supposed to be the most powerful war unit of that alien race. Nothing mortal stands in its way!

Also, theoretically, the reptile should be the one studied in the "Growing-up cycle".

Multumesc si tie la fel!"

i like it. perhaps you could draw more frames

:-) Anca-Raluca "Nekorrim" Sandu replies: "I wouldn’t have the patience for more complicated frames. Maybe if it was smaller and simpler, yes, like just an outline of one animal. I don’t know if I should try more. Perhaps, sometimes, I’ll simply get bored and remember to do a simple horse running, just for fun... Usually, more complicated figures do not look the same in my drawings... I have this problem with human faces, especially."

Sarah, this looks complex - most likely more frames would be over Elfwood’s byte size limit.
But I too would like to see a full animation. Do you have your anime posted anywhere else?
Also, although the title and description imply otherwise, there is no chariot! Still cool, though.

:-) Anca-Raluca "Nekorrim" Sandu replies: "I don’t think it would be a lot bigger because the frames are gif as well, except they’re still (gifs usually lack high color quality and they’re small sized). It lacks 2 or 3 frames to look decent, I think. I do not have any other animation than this (except 2 that go faster, not posted anywhere and without more frames).

And the chariot... yes, you are right! I see it now. I think it’s because, originally, the unit had a chariot, but later on I wanted more this variant, of a rider that stands and controls better the creatures. You can be sure it evolved: first, only 2, then 10, then more and more... However, the name renamed. I like calling it so, it acts like a basic chariot... apparently.

And thanks for seeing it, as well!"

This is pretty good for an animation. I guess if you wanna avoid making it more complicated, then it’ll probably be better to focus more on the animation than on the colors and tones and stuff. Even a bunch of scribbles can look good when it’s animated properly. Colors and details are usually the last things that need to be added. But still, I like how you took the time to put in those details, and it makes it look really nice.
I kinda wanna see what it looks like with the frames sped up a bit, but that’s just me talking... Great! 2 It’s not poor animation!

Oh yeah, it’s me, Jennifer. I just forgot to log in...

:-) Anca-Raluca "Nekorrim" Sandu replies: "Thanks for coming back. If you saw the picture with the bigger and detailed reptiles I used as model, you’ll see that this animation uses the very shrunk image of them, but which is still rather good. I have drawn some new sketches of a running reptilian-like being, I wait to find some time and inspiration to put them together.

Faster it’s madness! 10 creatures running like mad with a constant and unreal rhythm! (I think it’s because of the frantic neck movement). Still fun though."

This is very cool, it reminds me of something from a mixture of the creatures of Fantasia ’Night on bare mountain’ and what Hades might use as horses in Hercules. It’s very good. Well animated.

:-) Anca-Raluca "Nekorrim" Sandu replies: "Thank you, if you liked this, maybe you should see the other one as well, which uses more frames."
