For the time being, I'm just a student from Romania (South-Eastern Europe). As incredibly as it might seem, I became annoyed by all my passion with fantasy subjects, but I'm yet too far from giving it up (though I plan... soon). Anyways, there's nothing special about me, so here come some details about certain concepts of my art.
! First, I'd like to ask to try a "Full size" version of the pictures even if the differences are small, mostly because they look better. !
>>> There is a certain grouping of my pictures, but I won't bother you with it anymore. I change it every now and then. Usually, pictures around the same idea are already grouped closely because of their title. But, basically, the pictures starting with " * " are photo manipulations, the ones with " - " are some ver yspecial idea-related pictures and the ones with " ~ " are horse-related (I have plenty of those in general). All the others are simply... well, the others. I feel like I need to organize them somehow...
> 1. Descriptions: On some pictures I've tried my talent to write something more poetical. I've also given other information (auto-critic and impressions, mostly).
> 2. Concepts, ideas: depending on the picture or what I might have wanted to express - simple portraits of unreal beings or a specific idea/feeling exposed through fantasy subjects of an imaginary realm. I tried to leave out as much as possible original names given by me to certain things. I just replaced it with a sinonim or other names it had. Here you can include the abundance of the "rainy field" (black, or otherwise, but mostly the rainy one, which is a certain special place within my own fantasy realms), and the concepts of "royal", "imperial" and "spectral" which will be met and explained along the way. Mostly, a possible idea is given in the description. Other times, the picture can sugest more that one thing for each of you. Regardless, I'll add a more normal and simpler note to set straight other details about the pictures. [note: in case of similar beings to certain standards we all know, try not to name certain creatures I might have drawn with names already classified, like in the case of reptiles or horses or other beings that served as starting point; I tried to add a certain originality at least to the concept itself if not the being]
> 3. The unreal: name it whatever you want - fiction, fantasy, imaginary, fabulous, it's all one thing = unreal. Maybe it should be kept like so. Supra-natural concepts like those already in Elfwood are simply related to stories and other possible imaginary adventures, but none of them are real. So, a certain idea, feeling, meaning, concept can be pointed out like it is in reality, due to the fact that reality serves as starting point for art, but, in the end, realms, characters, actions and other means of expressing that theme of the picture/text is... imaginary. It's just better to make the difference. And I think I do it a bit too exagerated. Okay, I'm sure you'll get, in the end...
> Pictures and their imagined description are simple fiction.

Blood rose of under the rains, that didn’t entirely fell
But neither resisted all of the assaults -
A poor poem is now all left to explore your imaginary demesnes...
From the Parallel Asylum’s vaults…
…
Here I see, now, the ones…
That gracefully traverse the sky…
- Ahh… rest, rest easily, my son, for I know that you’ll eagerly try…
…that… gracefully traverse the sky?…
- … son?
… the sky…and I…
I don’t know who they are… or why…
- Please, rest now, my poor, tired son…
… the sky, daddy, up there, oh! So gentle, oh! So high…
They’re just something that gracefully traverses… the sky……
…
Hm… But I do need an entrance, so how about this,
Just tell me if, for an Asylum, there’s something I miss…
“For one will not get out of there until
He takes the demesnes’ lead or
Will be taken in the gentle arms
Of the flowing robes and shapes…
…that gracefully traverse the sky...”
- Demesnes? Hmm… and how many of them do you plan to make?
I don’t know… I guess it depends on how much I can take…
- I see. And how will you name this curios Asylum’s lot?
Well, it’s going to have elements you might have seen, but most probably, have not;
It is going to be just a bit different from what an asylum usually has got,
Sort of parallel with what a normal one means, but still, quite sought…
…my little Parallel Asylum’s plot…
…
~*~ excerpt from a poem of mine: The Parallel Asylum
InterestsIt's mostly sad and bad for me, but I do like fantasy art and decent-related things to fantasy, and from here on... mostly - but not all - that regards fantasy, dreams, unreal, imaginary and imagined - thus unreal again, and I insist upon unreal - things... faerie-tales... and mostly - but not all... eh - whatever... weird, huh?
Favorite Fantasy/Scifi Movies and TV ShowsDon't think I'm beyond common routine. Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Alien, Predator (and the series), Chronicles of Narnia, Eragon. You know whatever else, don't you? Just not all of whatever else... only the decent.
Favorite Fantasy/Scifi BooksMany of them are just like the movies they were made after. Only Silmarillion and Tolkien-related works are some high-favorite. Plus whatever of Lovecraft I read some time ago. And Portrait of Dorian Gray... and I'm sure there are plenty others.
Favorite MusicHard to say as always. Just add decency, dignity, legends, virtues, some more decency, good characters, good story-lines, good-ideas, don't forget the decency, something epic, something to make your mind work, something melancholic maybe, something problematic, something of a struggle... and did I mention decency with dignity?
Yes, even if you got bored of that, don't think that's dull. I don't always have such a strict selection of decency or carefully-chosen words, but just in case... drop dead the *going anti-world and anti-religion* stuff...

Anca-Raluca "Nekorrim" Sandu replies: "Hard question... truth is I haven’t uploaded anything too recently. I know the series which I’m rather pleased with is the "Foreign species". But I think the latest pictures are... "*The black ether", "- A symphony of war and color", "After the rainbow - new", "A black ether" (both), "Freedom (previously)", "Fun with the rain" (both), "The guardian", "Pink kitty cat", "~ Blizzard", "~Protection for the night sleep". Also, "~ The Nightmare" series is quite cool. But if you have time, you can have a look at the lot of them...
Also, if you’re interested, look for my writer’s page. I have few short stories, one especially that I’d like to have an opinion upon, since it’s the latest - "Failed attempt"."
| 30 Nov 2008 | Michael C. Plumart 'SilverFlayme' | Loading...O..o you’re quite good, and i freaking adore your use of blues and purples... and backgrounds... ok, you beat me quite badly there eheheh ^..^’ Anca-Raluca "Nekorrim" Sandu replies: "Thank you, thanks you very much. I haven’t received a comment in a while so... thank you for visiting the gallery. Blue and purple are amongst my favorite colors and I find them special almost every time I use them. I’m going to visit you’re gallery as well and I’ll tell you more afterward. Usually, most of the artist here are by far better than I am... I don’t really have the patience to properly work on everything. I’d like to know which you liked best." | |
| 19 Dec 2008 | Tiffany lishay manis | Loading...thank u, its been a long time since ive used elfwood, it just got so agrivating trying to keep up with all there flippen rules i just give up on here, i felt like my art wasnt my own when i was posting here because it has to be there way or it isnt art,ya know? i finaly made me a DA acount and started over there but drunk duck is my fav place to hang half the time, i gotta say creating the plot of the story wasnt easy but it was well worth it, i got it copyrighted half a year ago through legalzoom.com but it costed me over 240 something $ but at least my work is safe now mostly the reason im so fast at updating is because i wrote out the story a while back and so im just drawing it into a lively comic, in all it took me over 7 year to complete the story, but im not so great at telling a story through just words, i have to draw it out or i sound dumb narrating it,hahahaha but i gotta say i wouldnt have made it as far as i have with drawing it out and trying to complete it if it wasnt for the readers encouraging me with there feedback. it keeps me going and sometimes it keeps me updating twice as many pgs, lmao i guess its like getting a sugar rush Anca-Raluca "Nekorrim" Sandu replies: "It’s great that you already managed to get the copyrights... wow. Means it’s really big. But fair, as well, I have to say that’s a very good drawn comic. I’ll watch it as long as you upload it and... I’ll have internet access. Especially the fighting scenes, so long and dynamic! But I think it’s the wolf characters that I like best... I wonder how you never tire or get bored of doing fur and so many poses of one character... anyway, I do tend to appreciate best what I can’t do, so I can only congratulate you and express my wonder and admiration. It is after all, a nice story and very good graphics and... well... can’t wait to see what’s next! Have a happy new year!" | |

| 16 Feb 2009 | Hannah M. Bridgeman | Loading...Thank you for your comment on my story... I deleted the first chapters because I have re-written them and am waiting to be allowed to post them. However... it is looking like I may have to delete my account because the Mods are refusing to allow me to post the next chapter how I have written it....... And I dont want to compromise my story just for their comfort. If you would like however... I am moving to Writing.com { http://Writing.Com/authors/reddazes } Feel free to hop over and keep reading. I like their copyright better than elfwood also... more rights for me, less for them. YEY! Anca-Raluca "Nekorrim" Sandu replies: "I’ll keep reading because I like your idea.
I wonder why they wouldn’t let you post it... in my view, it fits their rules quite well. I mean there’s nothing wrong with the subject/theme nor with the language you use... But anyway, I understand if you want to do something larger with your story. Thanks for coming by my gallery, I hope you managed to have a look at some of my pictures too. "

Anca-Raluca "Nekorrim" Sandu replies: "Thank you, like everyone else, I’m trying to do something different at least, if not too original. And you’re very good too with clay-working. I’d like too to be able to give 3D shape to my ideas, but I can’t dream that far. Thank you for coming again."
