The deer ran across the road, eyes flashing briefly in the headlights. We expected that, they do it all the time. But this thing, looming out of the road side foliage caught us off guard. It showed only its head as we passed, the rest of it hidden in darkness. The snarling visage seemed to float five feet from the ground, eyes blazing and maw dripping with gore and drool. In only a few seconds we passed by, but it seemed like forever. And in the darkness that reclaimed the road behind we could feel it watching...following... dip pens and black ink.

Wow, this is insanely distubing. It reminds me of what some think the jersey devil might look like. Amazing. *hugs the litttle cuddlikins*

:-) Andi Lee Seymour replies: "But doesn't the Jersey devil fly? This doesn't. Well, not until it latches onto a bumper anyway."

Yegads this is good! If I ever hit a deer when it's crossing the road, I don't think I'll feel as bad as I might have in the past. Anyways, great picture, the detail is great. Almost looks canine too, perhaps it's just the teeth.

*Gasp* Good, I wasn't dreaming when I walked outside to see the floating head below my window. Funny thing: It licked me, and now I have a strange urge to eat humans, This is a wonderful piece. Did you wake up at two in the morning after eating a bowl of sugar to draw this?

Wow this is remarkably well drawn but scares my stupid!

I dont think ill look at a bunnie the same way ever again...*shivers*

What I can't believe is how no one has commented on the total detail of the eye. Eyes can make or break a picture and the total realistic look of this one is amazing and helps pull the entire picture together. Amazingly great work yet again! Great work!

Wow, I can imagine this being alive, though I wouldn't exactly want to meet it!

Lovely story, lovely creature, over-all lovely piece! I would not like to encounter one of those on a dark, moonless night...*shudder* or in the daytime. It is probably nocturnal though.
