I always considered it a flaw in my own stuff ,but now I think I want to practice at it more. Awesome gallery you have !  Andrew Cryer replies: "By no means is it a flaw. One "theory" in 2d art(the one I go with) is that you are trying to force depth and intrest on what is fundamentally a flat surface. One of the easiest ways is to over do the shading-the whites whiter, the darks darker. You tend to force the viewers eyes around your subject matter at that point.
