I also agree with your assessment on size; any dragon or drake in Tolkien, that I've come across (and there aren't many writtn of), is as big as it is evil. I love the downward curving horns. It does remind me of dinosaur sketches, it's even got the little man for reference - although most others wouldn't be wielding swords, but that's besides the point.
