Ah yes! My previous exploits into paleontology have not been in vain! An attempt at one of Tolkien's Cold Drakes( fire-less dragons). Done with pencil about 3 weeks ago during OT class.

I'll preface this by saying I couldn't draw my way out of a paper bag... But for what it's worth, I think the drake is awesome. I also agree with your assessment on size; any dragon or drake in Tolkien, that I've come across (and there aren't many writtn of), is as big as it is evil. I love the downward curving horns. I never imagined it that way until I saw this. Very cool!

1 Jonathan W. Horne replies: "Ken what are you talking about? your dragon made mine want to tuck its tail beneath its legs in shame! lol! Thanks for the comment!"

very cool! (I know it's been said already, but that's my honest opinion) This has got to be my favorite out of your gallery. It does remind me of dinosaur sketches, it's even got the little man for reference - although most others wouldn't be wielding swords, but that's besides the point. I guess what I love most is how the drake looks like it could start moving at any moment. Yes, very cool.
