I agree though, it's more compelling with a character in it, though with the smaller size of the figure the scenery becomes equally important. It's very, very cool. Great job! One of the thoughts i had when i finished this without adding the elf was; i hadn't been careful enough with the details in the leaves of the willows, so adding the character was a good desctraction and leads the eye away from my nasty mistakes in the background. Having said that though, i'm very glad i finally painted a character in colour because now i'm going to try more of the same, and hopefully do a better job next time... : )" | |

The practicalities of spear fishing may require a surprise element, and would perhaps need an over arm motion to achieve that. After having said that, you have this terrific ability to 'draw me in' to the fantasy. Keep up the good work!
