This is a drawing for the version of Rapunzel in which the witch sends rapunzel out to the wilderness where she gives birth to twins, while the prince falls into some thorns and gets his eyes poked out. I always found the scene where they are reunited to be very touching.

Eerily beautiful. You know, Disney is making a movie version of Rapunzel, with Kristen Chenoweth as the voice of Rapunzel. The style of animation is supposed to look like an oil painting come to life, (they used "The Swing" as inspiration!) let’s hope that they make it as close to the original version of the story as possible, with the pregnant Rapunzel giving birth to twins.

which version is this - the original Grimm?....certainly not Disney. I am intuiged, i love the concept and the sentiment of it! 1

:-) Angela Moore replies: "it MAY be the grimm...I’m honestly not sure. I just remembered having read two versions when I was younger, one of them decidedly more violent than the other. I would not be surprised if it was the grimm version. Sorry for the lack of help, and thank you so much for your kind words. 2"
