Curiosity killed the cat...

Alice

Emma Kathryn

Falling, falling,

Down and down

‘Neath reality I tumble.

Screaming, piercing,

Burst the vein.

The rabbit doth deceive me.

The looking glass

Doth tempt and teas

These foolish mortal eyes

But pay the price

For foolish wand’rings;

No chance for my farewell.

Banish me world,

Cast me forth

To the twisted torments of “Wonderland.”

Falling, falling,

Down and down

‘Neath reality I tumble.

Screaming, piercing,

Burst the vein.

The rabbit doth deceive me.

With a thud, I hit foreign ground,

A new door stands afore me,

A light through yonder keyhole flickers, curiosity beckons.

I love the feel and the rhythm of this. Simply brilliant. 4 Oct 2007	Robin Hersom	Loading... Interesting new perspective, and smoothly written. Then again, Alice in Wonderland always was 'interesting.' I've never been quite so sure of it after I learned that Lewis Carroll, or Charles Dodgson, liked to take photos of naked children That aside, do keep up the good work. 'Fraid I haven't been able to do much on my own page, for reasons I have stated in an update, but its always nice to see other people's stuff Emma Kathryn McDonald replies: "Ewwww, that's creeped me out now...ewwww...
