WOah! That is so cool, cute and funny at the same time! Did it take you long to do? It looks great! Very deserving of a Mod's Choice -so congrats!

1 Angela “thedustyphoenix“ Apilado replies: "thankies much! Building it probably took about 4-6 hours. Not really very long by clay standards. The glazing took quite awhile though. At the end of the school term he still wasn't finished and I had to go and pick him up during vacation."

Oh my, that's funny! I like the idea! Very well done! *likes green things with tentacles*

22 Angela “thedustyphoenix“ Apilado replies: "that could be taken a little creepily. And yet, it gives me an idea... BWAH HAH HAH HAH!!!"

Having dabbled in ceramics myself I can confidently say that this piece is very deserving of both the blue ribbon and the Mod's Choice!

Not only is the concept very creative but you did an excellent job on the construction. Anytime you work in a shared ceramic studio you never know what color the glazes are going to come out. *lol* I sympathize with you on that point!

Great work!!

1 Angela “thedustyphoenix“ Apilado replies: "Hvala! <--means thanks."

haha.. He is awesomely creepy! I don't know that I would want to eat a cookie out of him.

12 Angela “thedustyphoenix“ Apilado replies: "he seems to have put a few people off of cookies, maybe I should try to sell a batch of them to weight watchers or jenny craig or something."

Oh, he's so funny! I love him! I would take a cookie from you, poor little guy... ^.^ My dad was similarly amused.

1 Angela “thedustyphoenix“ Apilado replies: "yay! two people amused in one shot. excellent!"

I love the humor in this piece. So often fantasy art is suppose to be mysterious, exotic, or malice. You did such a wonderful play on humor without being tacky. Your scultoring techniques are great too. Excellent piece..I am so glad it won a mod's choice!

This is funny and definitely deserved the blue ribbon.
