Kaalaria fit right into palace life after leaving the outer ring. By the time she was 19 she was pretty much running the day to day aspects of the place. Later on she receives her scholars certification and continues serving the queen from the shadows.  Not a decendant of a royal bloodline Kalla's rumored to have somehow gained magical powers anyway.  No one's ever been able to prove it, but she does have an odd way of managing to be everywhere at once and always nearby whether you want her there or not.
