SciFi and Fantasy Art Past the Horizen by Angela ´thedustyphoenix´ Apilado

My roots are planted firmly,

And although my home is grand,

I often begin to wonder,

about that far and distant land.

I have no way to wander,

So you you shall be my eyes,

Travel past the horizen,

Then tell me of distant skies.

A painting I did for the Oregon State Fair Art Competition. I started and finished it just a few days before the deadline. You can see that when I mounted it down to the foam board so it could hang I had to rush so my poor painting was warped by the wet glue. I wish now that I'd included the poem somehow, but it's kinda late now. Can you see the Dryad's body in the tree?
