	(*) A real hollowed eggshel that I painted with a phoenix at sunrise. Painted in Acrylics to be entered in the 2004 Oregon State Fair. The base was made of popsicle sticks and painted to match.

23 Aug 2004	T. Tyndell	Loading... The egg is beautiful as well as the stand. Do you harden the shell with anything to make it more durable or leave as is, paint, and pray nobody breaks it? Angela ´thedustyphoenix´ Apilado replies: "I didn't use anything to harden the egg. It was painted and then covered in clear matte acrylic spray to keep the paint from chipping, that's all. But I recently talked to someone who was telling me about an Easter tradition in Mexico where they blow out the eggshells and then fill them with paper mache to make them hard before decorating."
30 Dec 2004	Kimberly A. Kluegel	Loading... Beautiful! This is on a regular sized chicken egg? Wow, I don't even want to know what would happen if I tried to work on a surface that small. It wouldn't measure up to this anyway, you've done a wonderful job.
