| 11 Nov 2003 | Daniel Maertens | Loading...reminds me of a mixture of Gambino from Berserk and gatts from Berserk, really nice stuff...the pines look GREAT! Anh Tu Vo replies: "WHOA PIMPIN!!!!! Berserk is the shiznazz, although this was done way before I even laid eyes on Berserk." | |
| 12 Nov 2003 | VB | Loading...Yeah, this is good. I really like the contrast between the dark undergrowth in front of the pines and the bright sky. Ah, it's great to be back in the wilderness, alone! Just one thing I have to comment on, though: The cape over his right upper arm seems a bit flat. Instead of following the bulge of his arm and shoulder, it looks like there's nothing under it. There's a dark fold right where I guess his shoulder could be, that sort of makes it look like the cape is flowing right back from his chest without obstruction. They're nice folds, but I'd try and resist them and put a bit of highlight on his shoulder instead.
Anyway, just thought I'd give some constructive. Everything else is great. The visible parts of the arm and hand look good, and that's pretty advanced foreshortening! Plus the pines _are_ nice. I'd like too see some more (recent) watercolors from you, you're good at it! | |
