'And so they stood on the walls of the City of Gondor, and a great wind rose and blew, and their hair, raven and golden, streamed out mingling in the air. And the Shadow departed, and the Sun was unveiled, and light leaped forth; and the waters of Anduin shone like silver, and in all the houses of the City men sang for the joy that welled up in their hearts from what source they could not tell.'

JRR Tolkien: The Lord of the Rings: Book 6, Chapter 5: The Steward and the King

This is gorgeous! You've done a fantastic job depicting one of my favorite scenes from LOTR. Your illustrations are usually pretty close to how I imagine things, and this is no exception.Thank you.

Just beautiful. I love her cloak. I think you get better every time you paint Faramir and Eowyn...So I can only look forward to the next one!Which will come shortly 12

I love this painting! The colour seems so bright and pure in this one.
The architecture is great as well and the detail you've put into their clothes is wonderful. Thanks a lot.

Ah, beautiful. The only quarrel I have is that Eowyn looks like she's gone and nodded off. Beautiful picture, though. It's the sunshine, you know 12

Aaaaah! I should check your pictures more frequent. I've been waiting so long for your picture of this scene, and now it's here, I see it only today.
Anyway, it's BEAUTIFUL. Gorgeous. Or, as my host-mum would say, terrific 12

Faramir's ear looks a bit weird to me, though. Suppose it's just me. Never mind.

I like Eowyn's coat (I already liked in "Eowyn and Faramir"), it looks exactly as I imagined it ^-^
(I can't spell Eowyn correctly *sob* stupid Kiwi keyboard)No accents on the keyboard, eh? Yeah, I had the same problem in the UK.

Your pictures all have exquisite details. But the thing I like best about this one is the background. The way the trees look ruffled by the wind is an effect that I am sure is not easy. Of course, her hair is neat too, but mainly I like the trees.

I abosutely love your drawings of Eowyn and Faramir. Your portrayal of them captures the characters so well! Why didn’t they make him look like that in the moive!
