'And she took a white gem like a star that lay upon her breast hanging upon a silver chain, ans she set the chain about Frodo's neck. 'When the memory of the fear and the darkness troubles you,' she said, 'this will bring you aid.''

JRR Tolkien: The Lord of the Rings, Book 6, Chapter 6: Many Partings

Wow...Arwen looks like Carrie Anne Moss. (That's a good thing, btw)

I love this pic! But it was Galadreal who gave Frodo the Light of the Evening Star.

This is beautiful. I love Arwen and Aragorn's clothing. The embroidery is so delicate and Elven-looking. And the tree! Huzzah for the tree! Frodo's face is the most perfect, I believe, although they're all well-done. I'm so glad you use Tolkien's actual descriptions of characters and scenes in your artwork. Of course, everyone's entitled to their own take on things, but it is refreshing to see such an accurate portrayal.

And to the above post: it's spelled Galadriel, and she gave Frodo the Light of Earendil, which is not the same as the Evenstar, which is what Arwen is giving to Frodo in this picture.

Anyway. Lovely. Thank you for posting it so we can all see it.

Nai nalye aman. (May you be blessed. ~Quenya/Sindarin)

He's a better Aragorn than Viggo, I think it's the eyes... Nothing against Viggo Mort.. (how the cats does one spell his surname?) it's just he isn't Aragornish (Im making up words again. Shoot me.) whereas your painted Aragorn looks more like what I think Aragorn should do.

I like ne romanesque columns in the background, and the White Tree of Gondor... yayness (I said yayness... feed me to a balrog before I turn completely squealing fangirl-ish) I liekt eh entire painting in general.

Way better then Liv Tyler! Liv is pretty and all, but she's really annoying for some reason. Very good with this
12 Mar 200645 Hmmm.... I think it's crap!
this should be called something like..."The home of the long faces," or "Just take the dang necklace and get the--out of here." ...Yeah, that's more like it.

I’ll just cut to the chase and say that I love your artwork. In general. This piece is no exception.
