'Many other words he spoke, as potent as long before in Tirion the words of his father that first inflamed the Noldor to rebellion. And after Celegorm Curufin spoke, more softly but with no less power, conjuring in the minds of the Elves a vision or war and the ruin of Nargothrond.'

JRR Tolkien: The Silmarillion: Of Beren and Lúthien

Hi Anke!
I've always LOVED your Tolkienart because it's pure watercoloring and no digiart. Thank you for that!! And I also think you capture the "right" Tolkienfeeling, you sure are in the same class as J. Howe and *whispering* you're much, much better than Nasmith!!
Your elves and humans look alive and true, as if they just could walk right up to you.
It's funny that your elves doesn't have the classical pointed ears, it is said in Silmarillion that humans and elves were more alike eachother in the elder days, so...
Well keep up the great work! It's always a pleasure to visit your gallery.
Cheers to Jenny Dolfen, her art is great too!

*drools all over the shirts, belts, buckles, embroidery and especially the star pin*
Lovely! I want it all! And if the elves weren't ~evil~, I'd want them too. Aw heck, maybe I want 'em anyway!

Beautiful work. I really like the elves expressions in the back too. Like they are right on the edge of being very much convinced, but not quite.

I'm glad I'm not an elf from Nargothrond, because I would be really scared at the moment. You completelly got the feelings about this sad story. I just see it's going to no happy ending... And the details are amazing.
And NOT whispering: you're far, far better than Nasmith.

Humble question... Could I include it in tour with Fëanor's sons? If all those people I asked allow me to use their pictures, I think I'll really make such tour, there seem to be none.

Especially in this picture, I love the care and detail you put into the clothing of the characters! I think that so many people kind of brush it off, but you really nail it!
just an observation: you draw lots of broody guys! but heck; I like broody guys...
And I think that the elves' pointy ears could be hidden under their hair; that's how it appears to me.
Wonderful pictures all! Keep up the great work!

I agree with all the other comments, but why is only one of Celegorm and Curufin wearing the Star of the House of Feanor?
