| 1 Apr 2004 | Sarah Fogg | Loading...Oh my goodness! Glorfindel! I love this guy! Actually I suspect I may love almost every male Elf that ever existed (current favourite Maedhros) but still.
If you think about the whole thing with them using Arwen instead; as they were incorperating The Tale of Aragorn and Arwen, they did need a high-impact way to introduce her, and I can't really think of a better one. So don't be too hard on Peter Jackson for replacing him.I still can't help feeling that we've been cheated.
| 8 Apr 2004 | Lady Em | Loading...*agree's with person above* the hobbits blend in so well! if i hadn't been looking for them I wouldn't have found them at all. It is quite wonderful.Thank you. | |
| 11 Sep 2004 | Merry Wanderer of the Night | Loading...Yay! Someone remembered Glorfidel! I think Peter Jackson Should've left him in. He was a small but vitally important character, Whom I happened to like. ;_;Yeah, we were cheated of another cutie ... | |
| 2 Dec 2004 | Shelly | Loading...Phenomenal. I particularly like how the rest is in dark grays, and Glorfindel almost glows.
Absolutely stunning. I would buy it off of you if I could!
| 30 Jan 2005 | Pendela | Loading...it's actually nothing bur logical Elrond sends glorfindel instead of arwen, i mean: if you have all these strong, powerfull elves like glorfindel around you, then why send your only, beloved daughter who's job is to look cute and have kids to some mission in wich danger could come to her??? | |
| 28 May 2005 | Janette Morgan | Loading...Ooh, girly elf. Wonder if he'd be played by David Bowie? Seriously, though, it's a nice picture. Glorfindel looks a little strange, but the trees and hobbits are very nice. Just needs more color. | |
| 25 Jun 2005 | The Queen Fairy <qchan05@yah...com> | Loading...You know, I would celebrate the whole "woo, it's Glorfindel and not Arwen!" thing, but the truth of the matter is...I watched the movie first. I know, I know, this makes me life unworthy of life, and I'm not going to try to make any sort of wheedling justification. I'll go to a confessional as soon as possible, I swear! But anyway, regarding the art itself... This view is absolutely beautiful. Well, okay, so is everything else, but the thing that really strikes me about this is the fact that you can only just see him in the distance. It creates a dramatic effect that works very well in this pic. I also really like the lack of light in the rest of the picture, which, again, creates that extra bit of drama. Really nice job! | |
| 10 Mar 2006 | Legolas Lover | Loading...I felt MAD when arwen came. Glorfindel was the best (besides Legolas) Arwen defently stole the horse. I was looking forward to seeing him in the movie. *must resist urge to kill Peter Jakson* | |
| 6 Nov 2006 | DDValentine | Loading...Well I did see the movie first too; but as soon as I saw it I read the book and I found Glorfindel a better choise and I loved the character so much, he is my second favorite...Oh and they did forget Elladan and Elrohir too in all the movies and that's just wrong too. Your drawing is very good.So good in fact that it made me want to post a coment...it is the first one I do.I like that you go by the book...it is dark beacuse it is night time and Glorfindel Does glow people! I love your stile. It's so dramatic. So now I'll go see the rest of your drawings.Keep up the good work. | |
| 13 Jan 2007 | Estel Dunadan | Loading...I love the way you really make Glorfindel seem to glow. Not being an artist myself, I don't understand the technical side of it, but anyone can recognise a brilliant picture when they see it, and this must be one of the best I've ever seen. (Most of the other best pictures I've seen are yours too!)
Keep up the good work! I'll be watching out for new pictures!
