'He looked at her, and being a man whom pity deeply stirred, it seemed to him that her loveliness amid her grief would pierce his heart. And she looked at him and saw the grave tenderness in his eyes, and yet knew, for she was bred among men of war, that here was on whom no Rider of the Mark would outmatch in battle.'

JRR Tolkien: The Lord of the Rings: Book 6, Chapter 5: The Steward and the King

I never thought Faramir's face would be so angular. His eyes look so cold... it seems a little odd for him.

Oh, and sorry, but his ear looks ridiculously huge. O_o

Otherwise, beautiful. I love your Eowyn but Faramir just seems so... well, not how I imagined him. Hence, he looks like you imagined him, because you're the one who painted the picture. ^^; Oh well. You're right about the ear, it's too large. As for the angularity of his face, he's been through hard times recently ...

My four favorite things: his eyes (soul-searching to the extreme), the Elven knotwork on his collar (exquisitely intricate), her hair (how on earth do you make watercolor so wispy like that??), and the leaves on the tree (remarkable). This is a beautiful painting. Congratulations on a superb job.

Nai nalye aman.

As I've said before, I love how you portray Faramir.. and with every painting with him in it I see of yours, I feel I'm starting to fall harder for him! ^-^ GORGEOUS!

You are so talented! I love how you draw Tolkien's characters the way you imagine them instead of the way they look in the movie. 2

Interesting piece. It’s got a nice ring to it. He reminds me of someone.. can’t place who. Strong look hes giving her, too.

Great Job! For once Faramir has the right color hair that he did in the book, and even though there’s just a side view of Eowyn’s face, she looks very good as well. You are incredilbly talented!!!: P)
