Now Aragorn knelt beside Faramir, and held a hand upon his brow. And those that watched felt that some great struggle was going on. For Aragorn's face grew grey with weariness, and ever and anon he called the name of Faramir, but each time more faintly to their hearing, as if Aragorn himself was removed from them, and walked afar in some dark vale, calling for one that was lost.

No, this is definitely Anke Katrin's work. However she is getting to be as famous as Alan Lee, and lots of her pictures are on websites with his. Probably you saw it before and thought it was his. Because I can assure you that you only have to look at the rest of the gallery to discover thae Anke Katrin trademark style, in the pictures of the hobbits for example...etc.

To the artist: You're my favourite artist and I hope to be checking out your Beowulf pictures I hear you're doing. I love Beowulf...They're on my website. Thanks a lot for the comment.

This is one of the best illustrations I have ever seen of this scene. The Houses of Healing is one of my favorite chapters (and Aragorn is my favorite character), and this takes my breath away to look at. You have done very well to take me from here back to Middle-earth (and I didn't even have to read the books again). This marvelous piece is incredible.

Namarie!Thanks a lot.

Very well done. I couldn't paint if my life depended upon it. You're lucky. This is honestly exactly how I imagined this scene in the Book. Very beautiful.

Damn this is good... That sad guy in the background with the guard's uniform... is that Beregond ? His sad look makes him good-looking. I think that this Aragorn looks a bit like Elenium's Sparhawk (Sparhawk just had a broken nose).

Ok for some reason i think that all lord of the rings art should be done in watercolor. I guess its because of alan lee so every time i see a watercolor lotr i feel the need to explode or eat mushrooms or some other thing to express my joy
