But Arod, the horse of Rohan, refused the way, and he stood sweating and trembling in fear that was grievous to see. Then Legolas laid his hands on his eyes and sang some words that went soft in the gloom, until he suffered himself to be led, and Legolas passed in. And there stood Gimli the Dwarf left all alone.

That scene was so sweet! It just add more layers to Legolas' personality (Which I found to be a bit flat in the movies.) And I have to agree with everyone else, great job on Gimli! XDThanks a lot.

Hello! As a person who draws pretty much only horses (and has for a long time) and yet continues to have both anatomy issues and boring poses, I am very impressed with the light and shading on Arod. That is just what horses do when they need comfort, too. I love your watercolors and I love LOTR! I think you are a great artist and you are very special because I don't usually leave comments. Thanks for your beautiful paintings.

you know what annoyed me? In the movie, Aragorn was the one that whispered to the horse, not Legolas. Or am I wrong?
P.S. Amazing picture. Love the detail (i should read the books again :-P)

This is perfect, it has an otherworldy look in a way that none of the other l.O.T.R pics have, keep it up, i'm going to frame this a nd put it on my wall if you don't mind?

Legolas is perfect. Don't worry, I'm not a Legolas fan girl who wants to shut him up in her closet for eternity, nor do I idolize Orlando. What I am saying is that this is the nearest anyone has ever come to drawing him like the image i get in my head when i read the Lord of the Rings. I have looked through your entire galley so far, and i must say, your works are awesome. (Isn't there a better word for your art? I dont know. Wish i could find one though. My writing just isn't coming well tonight.) Amazing job, and Gimli rocks too.

I generally loathe elves, but for some unknown reason I love orcs. But I have to admit that this is the best picture I've ever seen of Legolas.
Although as he's an elf of Mirkwood, I have difficulties imagining Legolas wearing chainmail.
As far as ears are concerned, it should just be up to the individual reader.

Very good here...This is the best depiction of this scene I’ve spotted.
