| 2 Mar 2004 | Alyssa K. Creason | Loading...Have any of you ever read the books? He was what, 33 at the very least! Probably more like 50-60 (haven't read the books in a while x_x), so he definitely doesn't look too old. It's perfect, Anke. ^^Frodo was 50 when he came to Lórien. | |
| 7 Apr 2004 | Carolin Emily Southern | Loading...Galadriel looks brilliant. I like Frodo looking older than he is often drawn, people forget that a) Hobbit does NOT = Kid and that b)Think of how stressful the task of destroying the One Rng must be, talk about world on shoulders..
Really really really really really ood. *gives artist a cookie*Hmmm, tasty.
| 4 Jun 2004 | Nienna | Loading...I love everything about Galadriel here. She's just gorgeous and her eyes are....wow (I need a new word) I really like Frodo too. I'm glad you drew him old as people are confused about his age because of Elijah Wood looking so young in the film. I love the way the phial glows as well.Thank you very much. You're right, there's a lot of discussion about how old or young Frodo's supposed to look. | |
| 9 Aug 2004 | Anonymous | Loading...I think that it's great that you can portray the characters the way that you saw them when you read the book. You didn't get too much inspiration from the movies which shows you're a true artist. you just let your mind tell you the way they should look and they mood of the art work. Well done. Thanks a lot. | |
| 27 Nov 2004 | Rina | Loading...After having looked at nearly every picture of Galadriel I could find on Elfwood, this one still remains my favorite. Thank you for painting Galadriel as the beautiful, wise, powerful Elf that she is. And I agree with you that hobbits look more like small scale humans than children. I find all of your work wonderful and I think that you really capture the feel of Tolkien's style of writing in your pictures. I wish you the best of luck now and in the future. | |

| 13 Jan 2007 | Estel Dunadan | Loading...Most of what I want to say has been said, but I'll say it anyway:
Galadriel's hair is amazing. "The light of the Two Trees, mingled" was, I believe, the description, which means not a blinding gold, but, as you have shown, gold softened with silver. It's absolutely beautiful, and I long for the ancient tongue of the elves to do justice to your rendition.
Frodo, I think, doesn't look too old or too young. He should look youngish, though not too young, because he has not had much difficulty with the Ring yet, and moreover he has just spent a month in the fairest land left in Middle-Earth.
All in all, the picture is so wonderful I haven't the words to describe it. Thank you very very much for drawing it!!
