Even as they spoke together of these things, walking without heed of aught else, Celegorm and Curufin rode up, hastening through the forest; and the brothers espied them and knew them from afar. Then Celegorm turned his horse, and spurred it upon Beren, purposing to ride him down; but Curufin swerving stooped and lifted Lúthien to his saddle, for he was strong and a cunning horseman.

Really awsome! ...

You draw the most wonderful pictures of Luthien! Keep it up. In this picture, the people's eyes seem a bit creepy, and Beren looks a lot like Jesus. But I still love the picture! Very good job.Well, I thought Celegorm and Curufin might well look a bit creepy.

No,no,no,no.The elf on horseback!I know that's Beren on the ground with Luthien.Yep, he is.

I always liked the Book of Lost Tales version most. I always picture the Edain as looking like Elves, with at least long if not pointed ears and no facial hair, much as you did Faramir (and Luthien being fair-haired as often as not). That said, well done! Luthien is especially well-done, and so are the brothers.

(In the Book of Lost Tales, Beren is an Elf, Luthien is golden-haired and blue-eyed. For this reason, I always like to imagine the Edain as *supposed* to have been Elves, but *someone* rewrote Ainulindale to change it, probably one particularly mischieveous Vala. Just my favorite idea!).That's an interesting theory ...

Is it just me, or do you purposefully not show Luthien's face? I could absolutely understand this, if that's the case. It's so hard to portray someone in a picture, and have him or her live up to the standard of being the most beautiful of all their race. The back of her head is lovely, though. And Celegorn and Curufin look particularly devious and loathsome. Great job! Thanks a lot. By the way, I have painted her face on other images.

I really love your Beren and Luthien (despite the fact we don't see her face in this). They're exactly as I pictured them. Fëanor's sons are also very nice, but I have always preferred the blonde Celegorm mentioned in the People's of Middle-earth. It just helps to set him apart from Curufin, and all the other brothers. That being said, I would love to see some more of Fëanor's sons from you, because you certainly do all of Tolkien's characters justice.I'd like to do some paintings of Feanor and family, and hope to come to that eventually.

Lol I would love to see a painting of Feanor, his sons and his wife Nerdanel a la 'The Sopranos'. Have them standing behind the havens of Losgar with the ships burning... or standing on a big pile of dead Telerin. 10

I thought Elves rode without saddles or bridles. Explain?
