| 18 Jul 2004 | Kendy Lewis | Loading...I'm stunned. Being a descriptive/atmospheric poet myself, I deeply appreciate Tolkien's work, and I have never seen such a perfect harmony of word and color. The contented smile reminds me of times when I too have found an almost sacred place of beauty. I am deeply touched by the immense power and joy of this piece. Thank you for showing me such a wonderful vision. And thank you very much for your comment. | |

| 5 Oct 2004 | Fiacha fiacha@fia...de> | Loading...I don't know, why this picture makes me feel so terribly homesick....but it does. I am really sorry, that this is none of the pictures, that have been re-printed for being sold by you. I'd have loved to have it here, with me.
Blessings on ravenwings to you! May your enchanted watercolours never run dry! Thanks a lot. | |
| 16 Jun 2005 | Hana "Marmota" Běťáková | Loading...I have seen many of your pictures on the internet and I think they are the best illustrations for Tolkien's books at all. Leaving enough place for everyone's imagination, I mean. Watercolor suits Tolkien well... This picture is my favourite. It made me read the Tuor's tale; I wanted to know who is this elf called Voronwë. I think it shows very well that thing about elves, which Tolkien described as "dreaming with open eyes". (I hope I wrote it well, because I know only the Czech translation of Tolkien's book, though I'm reading Two Towers in English now.)I would like to hear from you some day, because I feel we could have much to talk about, but I know you must be a very busy person, making such great pictures... I joined Elfwood right now and I still don't have any gallery, but when it is done, I'm looking forward to meeting you there - though I know my pictures aren't good enough. | |
| 25 Jun 2005 | Hana "Marmota" Běťáková | Loading...I forgot - it is very peaceful! Thank you for this. Voronwe looks just like I imagine elves. I'm glad, that there is somebody, who has same eyes like me... | |
| 7 Jul 2005 | Hana "Marmota" Běťáková | Loading...Commenting again... This picture just makes me to! Because I remembered one day I was lying in the grass and looking up into branches of some willows... It is a very special memory. Nothing happened, in fact, but it was beautiful. And it is commited with Tolkien's works for me, because I met one friend there and we talked about them. So I can understand Voronwë on this picture. Lying in the grass and looking up into willows' branches is one of the best things I know... Voronwë is my favourite character in the Silmarillion now. And I wish I could have this picture, but I'm not as rich to buying originals:-( It seems to me like painted for me. So, thanks. | |
