Despite what many say in the comments, this picture is based on Sarah Brightman. Sarah is short and darkhaired and very pretty. This faun is not a portrait of her, nope. Just an instant idea I had.

I like it, but it makes me feel worried. I think her expression is too fierce for a faun. That's just me though. it is a beautiful piece of art.

Horns are a symbol of maleness, virility, and masculine strength. They don't really belong on female characters. Horns and antlers are found mostly on male animals; even in species where the females also have them, they're much smaller than the horns on the males. So it's a gender-bending thing to put horns on a female character; like putting breasts on a man. A crown of some sort would look much prettier and more feminine.Happy new 2008!

Please state name and valid emaila dress, then I might take you serious. Other then that, I recommend that you look up Rangiferus Tarandus - the vaja has a spectacular set of horns. As do the Rhino female. And Giraffes have horns as well, several of them infact. As did the Triceratops! Plus I rarely put much deep, intense, symbolic, pondering ideas into an image. I go with the flow and feel for an image rather then following an idea by the minute details. Life becomes so much more fun if you rather turned left then right at times... "

THIS IS OUTSTANDING! i know what you mean about commenting anonimously however it is possible they don’t want to reveal their names on the internet. this isn’t, afterall, the safest place to give away your name.
