Most of my stories aren't here, but they are up on my website, if you care to indulge. www.angelfire.com/art/katwoman I'm off to read your stories now Annalee N. Giesbrecht replies: "Thanks, and I'll get to your stories sometime when I have enough time... sigh..."
| 11 Dec 2002 | Andrea Giesbrecht | Loading...I was looking up my name on Google when I found this... I'm an avid Tolkienite myself, having read the books for the first time in sixth grade. Even weirder, I'm a bit of an artist as well, and an aspiring writer. Cool to run into you! I wouldn't be too surprised if we were actually related, either. My family is originally from Steinbach. Oh, and I like your site design. The colors are lovely. Annalee N. Giesbrecht replies: "Wow, you're like my evil twin! Or maybe I'm the evil twin ^_^ Thank you very much for the comment, but I didn't design the site (ha! I wish!)- I'm on Elfwood </a></i>" | |

Annalee N. Giesbrecht replies: "Thank you so much! I've just started The Subtle Knife, and it's really excellent so far! Ooh, and you musts read the rest of the Abhorsen series, Lirael and Abhorsen aren't sequally at all (you know what I mean ^_^). I'm very glad you liked my story!"
| 23 Jan 2004 | Anita M. King | Loading...And now I have read it! I'd like to see the rest of what you've written for Wyn's untitled story, even if it's unfinished. You have a very readable writing style and I like the fairytale tone to it. That's something I haven't been able to pull off very well. Please, please, upload more of your work. Annalee N. Giesbrecht replies: "Thank you, I'm glad you liked Wyn's story. You're in luck, too, because I've been working hard revising it, and there should be another chapter up anytime now!" | |

There are certainly ways you could do Victorian era fantasy that isn't all about vampires. There's always time travel, but in my very humble opinion (riiiiiight...) it would be more fun to write about an alternate Victorian universe where magic is prevalent. Or you could write Victorian science fiction with a crazed inventor or some such. Hmm...I think that's been done. Anyway, plenty of directions you could go with that! Annalee N. Giesbrecht replies: "Hey, thanks! Alternate universe, that's a great idea! *writes that down of back of hand*"
| 24 Jul 2004 | T.T. Dorionne | Loading...Oh! And I almost forgot, Chapter Three has been posted, as well as my Wyvern's Project 3. GO CHECK THEM OUT! I COMMAND YOU TO! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! ^O^ | |
| 24 Jul 2004 | T.T. Dorionne | Loading...WoW! Hooray for you. A gifted class, neh? I'm of the smug-younger-writers sort, too. My teacher gave me a "Most Promising Future Author" award last May, which had never been given out before, and she pretty much just made up for me *smug smile #2*. But...oh wait?! Where was I? *goes back and reads* Oh, yeah. Thanx for the comments on my stories! Oh, and you may also want to note that your replies to some of the previous comments are rather hard to read, because the text is so dark. Wow, this is gonna be a long comment. Annyhoo, I've got an idea or two for your dark Victorian era thing. Think, mad scientists, vampires, people in tophats, the undead, etc. Check out C. *Karasu-Kun* Bender's art, it might just inspire you! Have a nice day! *gives you some brownies* THX, T.T. "BrownieMonsterz" Dorionne Annalee N. Giesbrecht replies: "Haha... we shall be smug together! *smugs* Yeah, the text is dark- it's from back in the day, when the background was whatever it was. Actually, I've got a Victorian story now- and it has pirates! Yay pirates! But maybe I'll just do a non-fantasy type thing... the gothicness is just too cool. Top hats rock! And bowler hats... thos are pretty cool too..." | |
| 10 Sep 2005 | Larry N. Morris | Loading...Congratulations for being chosen Writer of the Day.
I have not seen your work before. I'll come back to read, especially your MC. I have one of those myself, but it's for a poem, heh....
