A/N (added 07.15.04): Thanks to the Mod's for the pick, and to the reviewers for offering a rather eclectic bunch of comments. Normally I would [try] to reply to individual reviews, but I thought this route would save time and wrist-pains. Anyway, I was rather intrigued by the reactions regarding Tonks and Sirius' appearance. My choice on their appearance was an intuitive one, in a sense that there was no pre-concieved idea as to how they should appear. If I were working for Scholastic or Bloomsbury, I could see where this could become an issue. But as the description of this gallery states, this is fanart, and as we all know, fanart=personal enjoyment. My system of illustrating is not ruled by popular opinion, ~_o! So if these characters don't fit your vision, well, I can't help you there. And just a little food for thought: Phillipa Boyens (on the TT extended DVD) once said that 'the books are untouchable, and always will be..they stand the test of time.' And if deviation scares you, perhaps sticking with the books might be the safest route to enjoy the characters. ;)

Creeepy! I know a girl who looks like that... just like that actually... really good by the way *gives a shifty glance at the Tonk's clone* I love the use of watercolor! Lots of control! I can't do that... *stomps off to try again...*

Never let anyone else's negativity get you down. You have a definitely unique portrayal of these characters which should be embraced with everyone elses, not criticized.
Keep going with this beautiful style, it's wonderful.

I like this version: Tonks appears very mature and tough, as if some aspect of Sirius has rubbed off on her

I like it. And whether or not anyone else thinks it looks like how they imagined it doesnt matter. Artistic license. Im sure the people saying it would be sore if someone told them they drew something that didnt look the way they saw it. I wouldnt worry about haters though. They always around. I personally think the picture itself is awesome. Very nicely detailed and great use of coloring.

Great picture! Sirius really looks like an escaped convict, and I like how Tonks looks different. She can change her appearance, so then of course she’ll look different once in a while! 14 I didn’t quite notice the hooded figures in the background - really wonder what they are, they add a lot of mystery to the picture. I like how the burns in the family tree look so clear and obvious - shows how completely the family tried to eradicate those they no longer liked.

ha ha cedric i love him and when he died in the book i cried!, i know i’m a bit dramatic(i cried when i seen the movie). Anyway i LOVE your picture. i believe you should express how you believe they look (the book did come out before the movie!)well it’s AWOSOME.
