July 2008:

This is, of course, Sirius Black, Harry's godfather from the Harry Potter books. He is one of my favourite characters, enhanced by the fact he was played by one of my favourite actors, Gary Oldman, in the films. I used a picture of Gary to reference the face but i wanted to create him as i envisioned him in the books; less menacing than Gary, and more haunted, and also with longer hair as described in the books.

Your concept is very close to mine. I like the way you changed the "Oldman Sirius" into a more human and humane godfather for Harry.
