| 17 Dec 2006 | Andrea D. Koreen | I adore how you do curly hair in watercolor. Could you perhaps be ever so kind as to give me some pointers? Please? Antje König replies: "Well, I'm afraid I can't be of much help here. The hair in my pictures just sort of happens. What helps, anyway, is studying art deco paintings because those artistst just knew how to do hair. And what also helps is drawing with a relaxed wrist. I mostly use watercolour pencils for the hair because I can't do clear lines with a brush. I'm sorry, but that's all I can say. I hope it helps a little bit." | |
