Meet Hazelin the shapeshifter. Sometimes Haze is a big, strong man, with skin so pale and hair (heh, a mohawk!:) so white, that most of the people are taking him for an albino; and sometimes he is a beautiful white stallion. The picture is my part of an art trade, Hazelin is a character of Christine Louise McNamara (check up her Daviant Art and her Elfwood gallery), who made this wonderful picture of Zmei as her part of the trade. Hazelin is one of the main characters from Christine's online comic, revolving around six slaves who win back their freedom.

15 Dec 2006	Stormdemon	Loading... Wow. The horse is fantastic (which doesn't mean that the guy isn't), I'm impressed. Heh, Hazelin can say hello to some characters of mine Dzzirt is going to meet soon in the story...2 nightmares (more or less demonic horselike species) who can take on human form - one of them even happens to be a white stallion, talk about chance... Now I know you can draw horses, too, I'll hope you get inspired enough to do a picture of one of them someday Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova replies: "Oh thank you, Maxi! Heh, I am sure that Dzzirt would be the most impressed! But I can't draw horses, really! It took a few hours of painstaking work with a photo reference to make the horse; and I really don't like to use photo references. Still, it's the first decent (well, more or less) horse I had ever drawn... So may be I'll try my hand on the nightmares... but I don't want to promise anything!"

3 Jan 2007	Yana P. Vaseva	Loading... How'd you draw his horse form so good? O.o And I agree about the colours! Impressive! Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova replies: "Thank you so much! About the horse drawing - don't ask: I find a good photo-reference, and had spent a while f@#&ing with my picture to make it look like the reference. I am still not so sure that all the shadows are in the right places. The mane of the reference horse was of the different type, and it had no hair on the legs, so I spent even more time trying to fix that problem... well, at least I am satisfied with the result!"
4 Jan 2007	Little lost girl	Loading... i love the horse one of the best i've seen but the man though he is good seems to take away from the better part of the pic. But that is only my point of view. i love the horse. i wish i could draw my favorite animal like that. greatly done Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova replies: "Thank you for visiting and commenting. On this picture two different selves of a shapeshifter are shown, and since he has a brain of human, even when he looks like a horse, so I thought it's be appropriate to put his human-self on the front plane."
