Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova replies: "Thank you so much! This picture is an art collaboration: the line art of the front figures was made by Elfwood artist Rebekah Garcia, and so the outfits are her achievement. The background and coloring were made by me, and I am very proud that you like the statue ) Thanks again for commenting. This picture had lost all the comments during the april crash and, sadly, the new ones are not hurrying up to appear " | |
| 9 Nov 2005 | Evgenia P. Petkova aka Foxy Jenny | Loading...Oh, I love that couple. Please, keep drawing the story... Great colours, and I think you both did a great job - and I know that Drizztnafein(ummm, sorry if there is misspelling) and Kosmos are supposed to be the centre of composition, but the Greek statue in the back caught my eye - great line art and these light blue shadows on it make it perfect! Really, great job!!! Of course, the fact that I like the statue so much doesn`t mean that I don`t like our couple in love - only I think you can figure it out... knowing how I feel bout D. And I have a question. I have read Greek mythology, but I`ve forgotten what Persephona was all about, only her name. care to help me remember? Please? (All I know is that I loved Monica Belucci as P. in "The Matrix" - such a subtle and dark presense she has... Also if you`ve seen the movie "Malena" - there you can feel the same tragical feeling but much stonger.) Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova replies: "Thank you very much! I also think that Dzzirt and Kosmos make a fine couple, though their relationship couldn't last for a long time, you know, the relationships with vampires are almost always deadly, and Dzzirtnafein needs to find a way to get back to his world, and where are some powerful forces involved, like the Watcher gods... And the statue - I just added it by a whim, I like detailed settings Here's the myth: Persephone was the goddess of the Underworld in Greek mythology. She is the daughter of Zeus, the supreme ruler of the gods, and Demeter, goddess of the harvest. Persephone was a beautiful girl, and everyone loved her, even Hades, the lord of the Underworld, the ruler of the dead, fell in love with her. One day, when Persephone was collecting flowers she saw a narcissus with a hundred flowers on it and when she picked it up, the earth suddenly opened and Hades rose up from the gap and kidnapped her and made her his queen. Demeter was so sad about it that she withdrew herself in loneliness, and the earth ceased to be fertile, a hunger came over the world. Zeus sent Hermes, the herald of the Olympian gods, down to Hades to make him release Persephone. Hades pretended that he will do it, but before he released Persephone he gave her a pomegranate, and after she had eaten seven of it's seeds she got bound her to Underworld forever, and she had to stay there one-third of the year. The other months she stayed with her mother Demeter. When Persephone was in Hades, Demeter refused to let anything grow and this time of the year became winter; when Persephone is back to her mother a spring is coming. And hey, it's nice to know that you like Dzzirt that much... So how about an art trade? " | |
