  | ...There is a beautiful japanese ghost-story about a samurai, who committed seppuku to exchange his life for the life of a dying cherry tree. Ever since than the sakura was blooming each year in the same day - the sixteenth day of the first month by the lunar calendar-- the date of the harakiri - and only upon that day, so the people called the tree, haunted with the man's spirit Jiu Roku Sakura - sakura of 16th day.
