I think the orange torches a bit out of the color scheme, blue or white ones may look better (but it's my opinion only) Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova replies: "Thank you! Ah yes, I had a long debate with myself if I should put the fires in the sky or not. On one hand they are of the blue-and-pale color scheme, On the other hand without them the sky have looked kind of flat and a bit empty. Besides, I wanted to put all four elements into the picture, so I needed fire "
| 10 Jul 2004 | J. 'Kementári' Cruikshank | Loading...Wow... I love all the symbolism in this, and the symmetry. I also really love the shade of blue you used for the background, and you did a really good job making the moon look luminescent. Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova replies: "Thank you so very much, Kementari! " | |

Heh, I guess I put a little bit too much of the symbols here... Still, I kind of like the pic "
| 13 Sep 2004 | Sara Melissa Bean | Loading...I like this one a lot...the design is wonderful, and the little cat perched on the border is a great touch. Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova replies: "Thank you very much! Heh, this little black cat appears on almost all of my “witchy” pictures... " | |

Everything is always placed exactly where it should be for the best effect. This is a perfect example. The colors are pure and radiant, and the addition of the little cat in the upper right corner is a wonderful finishing touch. Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova replies: "Ah, thank you so much, Norma! Yes, I spent sometime playing with the small objects at the bottom of the pic and with the swirls and the flames in the sky, moving them around to make them fit into the composition the best way. As for the cat – he loves to perch himself high; he just jumped on the arch – and voila, the finishing touch was here! "

| 6 Nov 2005 | Dan Shevock | Loading...Have you ever (done or) considered doing a tarot deck? Looking at this beautiful pic, I can't help but think your style would make for a great deck. Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova replies: "Hello again Of course I thought about creating a Tarot deck. I think it's a lot of responsibility to do Tarot cards with all their mystical meanings and everything, I don't think that I am ready to start the project yet. Also, the number of the cards in a Tarot deck (7 is discouraging. Though I think if I'd slightly re-work some of my pictures it could save me some work, still, it's a huge amount of work, and unfortunately I don't have much of a free time to draw those days I made a deck of playing cards about three years ago, and it took me a bit less that two months to finish 18 cards..." | |
| 14 Feb 2006 | Evgenia P. Petkova aka Foxy Jenny | Loading...Breathtaking!! By the way, the moon does rarely (really really rarely, so this is indeed a perfect time for rituals) have this type of halo in the real world - only when it`s extremely cold in the upper layers of the atmosphere, so cold that tiny invisible and ery fine crystals form and reflect the light in an odd way, such, that the moon seems surrounded by a black hallo with a ring of light as the blackness fades. I`ve only seen this once, but it has got to have been the most beautiful night sky view ever! Those torches in the air add nice contrast to the bluish gamma of the picture. I also adore the waves contrasting with the black grass. Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova replies: "Thank you so much! The Moon is one of my very favorite things to look at, it's always the same yet always different, and sometimes absolutely astonishing. Like the dark halo moon or the moonlight rainbow... It looks very different from different places, too: I don't remember if I had ever seen the silhouette of the darkened part of a waxing moon on European sky, but it's often shows like this here on the West... Yes, Moon is... just magical. " | |
| 3 Jan 2007 | Emma Reeves-Sirois | Loading...this is probley the only thing of your work that i have a problem with the fact is that witches never really existed and the were just Wiccans that got a bad rap...but besides that i still do admire your work ~Fire Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova replies: "Well, there always were women, who did magic. Naturally, they were not called witches, but the priestesses of the Goddess in Her different avatars... But this picture is more about a modern-day fantasy-style witch. The word around is so stressful, that a woman needs a bit of magic to survive in it... " | |
