SciFi and Fantasy Art Performing Lestat - Lelio by Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova

This picture is a part of 'Performing Lestat Diptych ' , which is too big to put in Elfwood, so I break it in two parts. This is part I, 'Lelio'

Lestat de Lioncourt was a runaway youngest son of a noble but poor and decadent french family, who preferred a hungry but exiting life of a parisian actor, to the quiet rotting in the slowly turning into a ruin family castle. Lelio the Lover Boy was his role in Comedy del Arte type of plays. Bright and beautiful, brave and arrogant, Lestat attracted the attention of a vampire, who was looking for a descendant, so it's a farewell performance, though Lestat doesn't know it. Tonight he'll be abducted by the vampire Magnus to be hold as a prisoner, find to be a worthy heir, finally turned into a vampire, and left as a newborn bloodthirsting orphan by his maker, who's gone mad and wants to put the end to his existence.

I wanted to give him an elegant pose The background figures (suppose to be Innamorata (or may be Colombina), Pantalone and Harlequin) were fan to do...though I really have a little idea of how such a theatre should look like, I just tried to make something matching with the Rockin' Lestat' pic background)"
12 Jul 2006	Sara Melissa Bean	Loading... His outfit is so cute! I love the brilliant red you used in his cape and breeches....and that little ribbon in his hair is a masterful touch. And again, the background figures are great. Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova replies: "Thank you, Sara! Heh, one guy said that he loves the picture, but the ribbon is annoying Common', in the XVIII century it probably was even considered masculine!))"

Like, I imagine him elegantly moving on stage, his voice almost singing out a lace of intricate puns, very subtle in humour and very rich in poetry... Hmm, that double piece of yours rox boats! You can't imagine how glad I am to get such a comment - it means, that I am succeeded in creating the right image and right atmosphere! Thanks again, Jenny, you are greatOh, oh, I have a new picture in my fan art gallery (a rare event! I bet you'd be surprised... it's a bit weird, of course... still, the subject is very cool)"
26 Jul 2006	Kamille Freske	Loading... I adored this one! I love how the other characters sort of blend into the background so that he may be the center of attention. There is great motion in this too, with the sweeping of his cloak and his pose. Well done! Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova replies: "Thank you very much! I thought that there are tons of the pictures of Lestat in Elfwood, but I have never seen a picture of him during his short theatrical career... so I made one"
19 Mar 2007	The Brat Prince	Loading... Why the hell does Lestat look like the guy from Rocky Horror Picture Show with blonde hair? I know he's feminine looking, but Jeebus.. Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova replies: "It's ok with me if someone don't like my art. I just have one question to you and others like you: Why don't you try to draw your own vision of the character instead of flaming mine?"
