SciFi and Fantasy Art Performing Lestat - Rockin´ by Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova

This picture is a part of 'Performing Lestat Diptych ' , which is too big to put in Elfwood, so I break it in two parts. This is part II, 'Monsieur Le Rock Star'

After over a half century of the underground slumber, vampire Lestat awakens in the 1980s to the cacophony of electronic sounds and images that characterizes the MTV generation. Particularly, he is captivated by a local rock band named 'Satan's Night Out'. Determined both to achieve international fame and end the centuries of self-imposed vampire silence, Lestat takes command of the band now renamed 'The Vampire Lestat', and starts to shock the public with his vampire revelations. Well, it proved that the public in the end of the XX century is not that easy to shock, unlike the ancient and newly-made vampires...

Disclaimer: Lestat de Lioncourt is a character from 'The Vampire Chronicles' books by Anne Rice. This picture was inspired by her 'The Vampire Lestat' and 'Queen of the Damned' books.

The bass-guitarist chick took a bit longer, and the percussionist was the hardest to do, because I had to figure out first how the hell those drums are usually placed... )"

No need anymore, it seems. }} It`s great!!!! ^^ Only one thing - Lestat seems a bit ... hmmm... static, compared to the backgrounders. (hahaha, is there such a word? XD ) Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova replies: "Heh yes, I quite agree: Monsieur Le Rock Star is just a too good subject for the picture to be ignored I agree about him being too static too - I was working on both of the pictures of the diptych together and I am afraid that I was not really concentrated on each of the pieces:/ Oh well. After all a leader singer of the band should take the dramatic poses on the concerts and to hold them long enough for the photographers to do their job... ))"

It looks like it was done in illustrator, am I right? Anyways, ROCK ON! Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova replies: "Thanks for visiting and commenting! Well, on the picture of this size/resolution is really hard to see the eyes... they have eyelashes and a sparkles within in original ... I tried to make them wide opened, staring, hypnotizing.Sorry, I haven't answered the media question! No, it's not Adobe Illustrator, but a similar to it program, also vector-based: Macromedia FreeHand.Thanks again!"
