Yeah, also think so. Besides... what about "Harm ye none" part of the wiccan credo?"

By the way, the only reasonable way to ride a broom is to sit on the brush. You don't want to sit on the stick for more than two minutes. (no innuendo intended) A lovely piece of art, as always! I especially love the delicately detailed moons in their varied states of light. Anya ´broom rider´ Kholodova replies: "Thank you. Quidditch? I am not interested in any sport, including Quidditch. Like lots of the witches, I belong to melancholic, contemplative type, totally indifferent to any sorts of competition. Heh, and I think that sitting on a prickly spiny brush is much less pleasant, and way less elegant then riding on a broomstick (even Harry Potter would agree Another funny thing is that traditionally male witches would ride pitchforks, brooms were girly stuff; guess Quidditch on pitchforks would be much more dangerous and spectacular sport ) Not that I have something against HP, mind it, it's a great piece of fiction "

Traditionally, to avoid discovery, the old witches disguised their implements as things that would be found around the property/household at that time. So - women for brooms as housekeepers, men for pitchforks as farmers and tillers of soil. Makes perfect sense.
