Dragon Dream

In the night I heard his song.

A lament beyond time.

His sad tunes touched my heart

while I was sleeping,

saying "fear not child, I am not a dream".

My slumber shattered with his voice.

The mighty lord of dragons,

the eternal,

the forgotten.

His words to me sang as a church bell,

sothing and strong.

So strange and yet,

so known.

"Fear not Selfling, you will be free

to roam the stars,

to rule your kingdom again,

to be by my side and rule the night.

Once more selfling,

You will be the wings of the wind worthy".

He streched out and touched me

with his warm claw, comforting and loving.

My skin started to quiver

and my thoughts to spin.

My body faded away,

my mind and my soul

was released

from their prison of flesh.

I was once again

Free.

Free to return home.
