The waterfall

As I float I feel him calling from a far.

“Come to me” he sings in my ear.

I wonder what would happen if I did.

Would he drown me?

Would he save me?

Feeling myself let go,

I slowly follow his calling.

Lifting me softly,

he carries me.

I feel his pulse in my own heart.

Small waves they greet me,

as I see the shore go by,

leaving behind all my cares and fears.

He lifts easily.

He guides me.

I her him calling closer now.

Kissing my flesh as he carries me.

In fear I close my eyes.

Feel him roaring in the distance.

I know I will soon be there.

As I open my eyes,

the sky rushes by far above me,

the clouds seem to wave me good bye.

His voice now is a loud roar.

I close my eyes for the last time.

In my ears I hear him roaring loudly,

“Come freely and I will do no harm.”

The waters carries me toward him.

As they let me fall I open my eyes.

“I can fly!”

“I am free!”
