I was a classmate of Ana maria. We shared many ours talking about the different culture in norway, the education system, holidays. i remember those conversations till this day.

She was a very special person, i remember when she arrived to our class. Her accent was notoriously different. The teacher introduced her to us and she sang the little boxes on the hillside song (classmates did a lots of jokes with that one)

Ana, me and a few 6 other classmates were good in english ( i was an above average one ), our teacher always asked us for opinions in english about anything maybe shakespeare other cultures, etc.

It was fun to have chats with her during the classes , i've learned a lot, it was fun , but i remember that she was under heavy jokes on english classes because of her weight and the different personality compared to us.

She wasn't a bad person at all, you could trust in her a lot and she gave you a lot of confidence when you were talking. I remember his particular smell in his sweater because she had dogs in her house and sometimes her clothes smell was sometimes bad. Also i remember that some days very early she came with a bag full of waffles, very sweet waffles and shared some with me and another friend.

After we graduated , no connection with other classmates and no information about anyone. I knew that she was on vet on a local University and then i lost track of her and all my classmates. Then years later i was rehearsing with my band and saw the News on tv.. it was shocking.

Sadly Ana maria had a weird magnetism to attract jokes and mean people. i tried to understand and learn from her since i don't like that "stupid" act of making jokes on other person because all your friend are doing it.

i guess she's so well now.. it's funny that we share the same last name, maybe we were related , since i don't know a part of my family.
