Products available at my Cafe Press Store: www.cafepress.com/agnesolson Well, I have been working on this piece on and off for about a year ... I'm FINALLY done!!! Hope everyone likes it! And yes, her face is inspired by the celtic myths of the Green Man / Green Woman ... I've always loved it and I couldn't resist using it for Jord's face! In Norse Mythology, Jord is the personification of the primitive, unpopulated, and uncultivated Earth. She is the daughter of the goddess Nat (Night)and th giant Annar. She is the sister of Dagr and Aud. By Odin, she is the mother of Thor. Jord created the tree that bears the Golden Apples of Youth ... she entrusted the apples and the location of the tree only to Idun, the goddess of youth and immortality. After I drew this piece, I scanned it and finished it with a combination of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

Very much like your work. Clean. My favorites are Nat, Hel, and Jord. Can you tell me about the antlers on Hel?

Very much like your work, esp Jord, Hel, and Natt. Where do Hel’s antlers come from?

Cool ideas! I like the blossoms in her hair, I like to think of them as the blossoms of life. The saying, "Let life blossom." comes to mind. I also like that she’s holding the Earth and protecting it in her palm. AWESOMENESS ALL THE WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
