SciFi and Fantasy Art For your Sake by A. Uneide teicher

Ven's Rafienne and Tereg, Mika's eldest. Tereg idolizes his father's mate, and there's little he wouldn't do to keep him safe ---same is true of Enne, who is devoted to Mika's brood. And always, there are things that test such bonds, lately Mika's cousin and her consort, as they progressively threaten the tentative arrangement more and more... So here they are, both hopeful, waiting for Mika to finally come home...

'Today he will come home, I know it. Today he'll ride through those gates, and he'll make everything alright. He'll never let him hurt you, never. You'll never have to cry again and I will never have to watch you do so. Today my father will come home, Enne, and we will both feel safe again...' Watercolour pencils again.
